1. Who processes your data

The data controller is the author of MySimpleVideo, operating as MySimpleApps. Contact for all personal-data matters: contact@mysimplevideo.com.

2. What data I collect and why

The only personal data collected by this website is the e-mail address you voluntarily leave in the form to receive a free license key. The address is used exclusively to:

• send you a license key for MySimpleVideo,
• occasionally inform you about new versions of the app.

The legal basis for processing is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given by ticking the consent box in the form.

3. What I do NOT collect

• This website uses no tracking cookies and no third-party analytics.
• The MySimpleVideo app itself runs entirely locally on your computer — it does not upload your footage, projects or data to any server.
• Your IP address is not stored in the sign-up registry. For spam protection only a short-lived, one-way hash is kept, from which the IP address cannot be recovered; it changes every day.

4. Where and for how long data is stored

E-mail addresses are saved in a file on the hosting server in a directory that is not accessible from the internet, and then moved to a license registry kept locally by the controller. Data is stored until you withdraw consent. It is not shared with any third parties or transferred outside the European Economic Area; the only data recipient is the hosting provider (as a processor).

5. Your rights

You have the right to: access your data, rectify it, erase it ("right to be forgotten"), restrict processing, data portability, and withdraw consent at any time — without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. A single e-mail to contact@mysimplevideo.com is enough — I will remove your address from the registry promptly, at the latest within 14 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Poland: the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, uodo.gov.pl).

6. Voluntary contributions

Voluntary contributions are handled by external services (Tipply, Ko-fi) on their own websites and under their own privacy policies. This website never receives your card or account details.
